Secure Your School with SVPP Funding
Strengthen Security Without Straining Your Budget
School safety is a top priority, but funding security upgrades can feel like an uphill battle. That’s where the School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP), administered by the U.S. Department of Justice's COPS Office, offers significant federal funding to help K-12 schools and districts improve security technology and infrastructure.
Blades AVS is here to help your district understand this opportunity, plan the right upgrades, and put that funding to work.
What is SVPP
The School Violence Prevention Program was established under the STOP School Violence Act of 2018, giving the COPS Office authority to provide awards directly to states, units of local government, and Indigenous tribes to improve school security through evidence-based school safety programs and technology.
What Can SVPP Funding Cover?
SVPP funding supports a range of security improvements at K-12 schools, including:
Coordination with law enforcement
Placement and use of metal detectors, locks, lighting, and other deterrent measures
Acquisition and installation of technology for expedited notification of local law enforcement during an emergency
Any other measure determined to provide a significant improvement in school security
This is where Blades AVS comes in. From access control and door locks to camera systems, intercoms, and emergency communication technology, we design and install the kind of security infrastructure SVPP funding is built to support.
